A New Beginning & The Birth of a Global Ministry!

What looked like the end was really an INCREDIBLE new beginning! Just seconds before Shell was going to take her own life on a Florida beach she met her Savior. Her life was radically changed within moments and a divine covenant was made between Michele and The Lord.

Even after she received her miracle, Shell stayed devoted to serving the Lord by ministering to broken hearts and within a few years a web site that had once been built as a ladies only porn site (just4ladies.com) was now the worlds first and largest Christian Heartbreak Community. 

The Lord took a wretch like Shell and washed her clean and blessed her with miracles she could hardly imagine.

Over the past nine-years Michele has helped thousands of women survive heartbreak and not just survive but SUCCESSFULLY and JOYFULLY survive! Her coaching skills have saved over 1200 marriages and relationships as well as helped countless men and women realize that when it comes to "love" you can't mislabel it or settle for anything less than God's best. After all, love is His greatest gift to us!

Shell carefully documented and journaled every single step the Lord walked her through on her journey and it wasn't until she had complied the steps into what is now known as A Course in Heartbreak, did she realize that the number seven represented "completion". God had given her His plan for ministering to broken hearts.

She felt God prompt her to go out and share what she had learned and successfully accomplished with a lost and hurting world. Heartbreak is an epidemic in our world and few churches, pastor's or organizations are prepared or equipped to deal with the situation as the Lord would have them. You need only speak to Shell for a few minutes to truly know her message is inspired.

Stepping Back Into the Past...

In July of 2007 Shell stepped back into her past if only to share her experience in the seedy Internet Porn business for the purpose of saving marriages and helping men and women overcome one of the most powerful and addictive substances in our world - pornography. Her second book Protecting Those you love in an X-rated World is a powerful tool for men, women and families who are trying to keep porn out of their lives and the lives of their kids and more importantly, ERADICATE  it if it's in!

There are few pastor's who are able to match the message Shell shares about this all consuming evil called pornography and few pastors are prepared or willing to address it for lack of knowledge on how to successfully walk those inflicted through EFFECTIVE steps. Shell tackles the issue head-on and stands on the sidelines of the lives she coaches, helping them through every painful moment until they've reached the goal. What The Future Holds...

Shell's vision for the future includes bringing the combined messages and tools of the ministries to as many people around the globe as possible. Realistically, she knows she can only travel so much so she is hard at work making a way to broadcast all of the materials on J4L and HBU through the Internet. Her webinars and live online schools are legendary and the men and women who attend courses and classes come back again and again even after they've received the miracles they've prayed for. Shell has managed to create a community of people joined together by the common bond and thread of a broken heart. The friends you make here at HBU and J4L will surely be lifers.

These days Shell Washam works from her mountain top home in the beautiful foothills of the Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. She and her husband Michael and their three children enjoy the solitude and peace of country living and both are committed and enjoy serving in the ministry together. Michael is a retired Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent Supervisor who recently returned to the law enforcement sector in Knoxville, TN.  He also teaches a bi-monthly bible study at HBU and coaches a large number of the men who enroll.

Michele Washam continues to expand and nurture the ministry God has entrusted to her and we pray that it will continue to be a blessing to all who come here.
