Since 1999 Founder Shell Washam has been ministering to broken hearts around the world and while doing so, was inspired through her own heartbreak to form a network of ministries that would help people deal with this devastating issue. Heartbreak University is here for people seeking to restore a broken relationship, save a marriage or find true, unconditional, forever love. Most importantly, it helps you restore yourself first. Our main course is offered in the form of the founders first book A Course in Heartbreak (English Mountain Press 2002).

The lessons are designed to take you from that first, most painful, heart wrenching step all the way to the miracle and beyond. When the course is followed closely it is guaranteed to bring peace and results beyond your expectations. These lessons are tried and proven and are not the creation of the developer but are lessons that are taken from the Holy Bible and designed for use in today's world with today's problems. In January 2008 HBU launched a new site design to include a state-of-the-art online features and tools. The  World renowned Course in Heartbreak as well as  electives that compliment the course are taught in our virtual classrooms and through private one-on-on virtual, phone or in-person (for local students) sessions. HBU limits the number of enrollments each session in order to provide each person with the support they need to be successful in their journey; but we are proud to announce that our new web site will now allow us to hold multiple sessions at once.

Live Talk Radio Broadcast

In September of 2007 Just4ladies.com and Heartbreak University finally, after several years of praying, launched the Heartbeats Live Talk Radio Show! The show is hosted by HBU founder Shell Washam and HBU Course instructor and group moderator, Vini Stockfleth. Our first show was a success.  We started off with  755 listeners and within six-weeks had over 5,000 listeners from around the world tuning in!! the show has been a huge blessing to the ministry and the people who listen in each week. Heartbeats is able to take live callers on the air and we are grateful to the BlogtalkRadio.com system for the use of their software!
